The Ones Who Walk Away
As part of the final assessment for NM3222 - Interactive Storytelling, I did up a Twine game largely inspired by Ursula K.Le Guin's The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas.
The game's narrative follows closely to the narrative of The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas. Viewing the world through the eyes of the main protagonist, the player must make a difficult choice upon learning about the secret of Omelas.
I utilised Twine's branching feature by including loops throughout the game to create the false illusion of choice, hence showcasing the inevitability of the protagonist's situation and the futility of his choices.
